Troubleshooting

ArchivesSpace is an open source application and although Emory's instance is hosted by Lyrasis, there is limited vendor support for troubleshooting. Sources of information and help documentation include:


Known issues:

Running reports

Occasionally, if a report is cancelled during execution, it will cause reporting functionality to hang.  Resolution requires a ticket to Lyrasis to restart the server.

Spreadsheet import

Importing metadata through a spreadsheet (and validation of that spreadsheet) will fail if a previous spreadsheet import/validation contained invalid data.  Users will see the following message:


This is a known ArchivesSpace bug.  Resolution is to run another background job (such as regenerating a pdf for the collection), which will reset the application and allow the import to proceed.
