Welcome to the EULM TDS Blog

Welcome to the EULM Technology and Digital Strategies Blog!

We’re excited to welcome you to the official blog of Emory University Libraries and Museums Technology and Digital Strategies (EULM TDS). This blog is part of our team’s broader communication initiative to enhance transparency and deepen connections across the Libraries and Museum, as well as the higher education community.

Why this blog?

EULM TDS plays a central role in advancing the digital infrastructure that supports research, teaching, learning, and public engagement at Emory. Yet the work of library and museum technologists is often invisible. This blog provides us with a space to share our stories, expose the thought process behind our technical decisions, and foster greater collaboration with library and museum professionals writ large.

By launching this blog, we’re creating a creative outlet for EULM TDS staff to reflect on and share their work, while also strengthening our connection with colleagues across Emory’s Libraries and Museums. We hope this space highlights our collaborative efforts and provides insight into the thought and care that go into our shared digital infrastructure.

What to expect

Here, we’ll share:

  • Updates on our current projects and initiatives

  • Reflections on our design, development, and infrastructure practices

  • Lessons learned from user research, testing, and implementation

  • Highlights from team members and cross-department collaborations

We hope that our peers in other institutions will find value in seeing how we approach shared challenges. And for our colleagues within Emory, we hope this becomes a place to learn more about what we’re working on and how it connects to the broader goals of EULM.

An open invitation

Whether you’re part of the Emory Libraries and Museums or a colleague at another institution, we invite you to follow along, ask questions, and share your perspectives.

We’re committed to technology work that reflects our mission and centers people, and that means valuing listening and learning as much as designing and building.

Thanks for reading!
