Permissions and user categories
Users are assigned to one of the following permission categories in ArchivesSpace. PLEASE assign new users to an existing permission group and do not create custom user permissions. If a permission is needed that is not in one of the groups below, please contact the product owner to create a new user category.
System Administrator
The administrator(s) of Emory University's ArchivesSpace instance.
Has all read/write and functional permissions for all repositories sharing the ArchivesSpace installation.
Repository Manager
Equivalent to the person or persons with primary responsibility for managing collections and collection data for a particular repository. Each repository should have at least one assigned repository manager who will have the responsibility for assigning permissions and user groups to users of their repository.
