Summary of Technology IWG Activities

The Technology IWG focused on the following activities:

• An internal decision document was produced for integrating Ruby and Samvera software development best practices into our local software development process (Box access required).
• The team assessed internal training needs for selected Samvera technology standards, and worked through a IIIF workshop tutorial.
• Team members monitored updates regarding Emory's larger assessment of AWS, which is still underway at the time of the Discovery Phase completion.
• Middleware team members identified local best practices for authentication for Ruby applications (LITS wiki access required).
• Reviewing selected deliverables and responding to questions submitted from the Metadata and Repository Management teams.

Some of the original work identified in the charter was de-scoped after implementation-specific dependencies were identified.
